Original authentic Street Dance & Creative Theatre piece celebrating 'British Summertime' performed as part of the grand finale in a community arts festival.
Preceded by an open workshop in street dance sparking a spontaneous dance battle between GRC students and their awesome Dads in celebration of Fathers' Day!

Original Sight Specific Theatre Piece
2015
PIRATES
Original script devised in collaboration with the GRC Youth Theatre students to travel with an audience down the banks of the River Thames.
The play rose through the levels of a Pirate Ship introducing various characters along the way, from Ship's Rats to the Captain - and even a mermaid - all in pursuit of treasure!

GRC's Advanced Youth Theatre Company wrote and performed this original spoken word piece as a reflection of 2020; the challenges, rainbows and all.
Our aim was to explore and harness our individual experiences to create a positive, powerful testimony of the year, unprecedented in many ways.

Original Silent Movie

A silent movie devised and performed by some of our Youth Theatre students.
Inspired by Charlie Chaplin the students explored skills in mime, facial expression and body language. They devised the story, developed scenes and filmed across a term.
These fun short films showcase the creativity and enthusiasm of our younger actors.

An original short written and performed by our Advanced Youth Theatre members.
Students explored high conflict scenes, devised a situation, improvised around characters and objectives, wrote the script, created a shooting schedule and crewed camera, sound, continuity, costume and props as well as taking on the roles of director and AD. All created and shot within our weekly Youth Theatre classes.

GRC's Intermediate Youth Theatre Company wrote and performed this original piece, embracing 'the screen' and the online technology that has been so significant a part of 2020.
Our aim was to have fun exploiting the form of our online classes, and use the circumstances to our advantage.
